A Few New Tricks

John R. McGinn

About this work:
Originally penned in the mid-90s while I was a graduate student at Stanford, this newly revised version is lively and humorous, a lot of fun. A clear "circus" motif is indicated in the titles of the five contiguous movements: (1) Fooles (Ta-Dah!), (2) Conjurer, (3) Charmer, (4) Juggler, and (5) Big Finish! Both the old and new versions have proved highly popular with audiences. The new version was premiered at the the 2005 Pine Mountain Music Festival in Hancock, MI.
