That's Amore

Robert Paterson

About this work:
I’ve always been a fan of Dean Martin’s songs. During my first few years of college, a disc that was always in my CD player was a CD of Dean Martin's Greatest Hits. It was interesting to me that some of his songs were orchestrated with marimbas and other non-standard percussion instruments. It seemed like a perfect fit to arrange That’s Amore for keyboard percussion ensemble. This work was originally written for and premiered by the Eastman Marimba Ensemble directed by John Beck.
