About this work:
An anthology of poems, God and Mortals, has sat in my library for many years, always tempting me, but somehow I never quite got around to doing anything with it. After connecting on-line with Micah Gleason, she informed me of her intent to present a program of music with a theme of the ”femme-fatale.” That got me thinking again of Gods and Mortals, a collection of contemporary poems about ancient Greek mythical characters. For this set of songs, I selected poems about women by women writers.
