Quartet No. 3

Harry Boyd

About this work:
The first movement is dark and violent with unusual rhythms, memorable and sinister melodies, with interesting part-writing. The second movement is a slow, beautiful nocturne in 3/4 time. The t hird movement is energetic and quick moving with strongly tonal melodies and interesting parts for all instruments. The final movement is a tarantella, very rhythmic and with memorable melodies, moving along rapidly to a strong ending. Part-scores can be obtained from my web site (www.prestoscores.com).
